As a few of you may know, I like bats. I also think they're cute. Certainly cuter than sea-kittens. I find this turn of events depressing on several levels.

Image update: wow, I need to remember how much better shadows look when they contrast from the base color. <i>Definitely</i> something to play around with.<br /><br />Hnnnnggggh... kind of uninspired. Bad color choices, etc.<br />Whatever.<br />Anyway, I think Akony is my favorite of Toume Kei's works, with Hitsuji no Uta coming in a close second (for whatever reason, I never found Kurogane to be particularly memorable, despite its having a nice story, charming characters, and, of course, great art). Even though I've only read one book of it so far. Ahaha, I sell cheaply to scissors and mice.<br />And Miri is hilarious.
