It's hot.

I've made the perfect game for summers like this!
It's what I'll be releasing next Comiket.

Touhou Project 12.8 (how far are we cutting these?)
It is: "Great Fairy War ~ Touhou March Spirits

Basically, Cirno has declared war on the three fairies. This is a continuation of the books of the same name.

Actually, I was planning to make a game like this since before the release of Strange and Bright Nature Deity book two (the text in that book titled "Great Fairy War" was the opening story for that), but my schedule and other stuff got in the way, and I wasn't able to make it a reality until now! (Just kidding, I'm still diligently working to make it a reality)

Hirasaka Makoto drew the pictures for me, and was able to change it the unusually airy world of Strange and Bright Nature Deity (ah, I got permission from Kadokawa, of course).

Anyway, the game's subject matter is something like this:
"A refreshing game where Cirno advances by freezing danmaku that she ought to be able to dodge."
It's turned into a game where one can sit down and play without thinking, with the difficulty so that it can be replayed again, with bold yet detailed patterns.

(Note: it is under development, and its appearance may change.)

It's a simple game where you don't really need to know about the story or characters and can just play, so for those who like games, please try it.
Of course, the version I release at Comiket will be completed!
Oh, my booth number is East A-28a on the second day.

Though, I haven't finished it yet.

I swear there is someone doing this...and he lives in Moscow:

He has a strange fondness for a ShouNazu picture I draw a while ago, but for some reason he can't bring himself to actually stay. His brother in Saint Petersburg, meanwhile, seems strangely fascinated with that Banshee picture with the spinal chord and stuff.

I'm starting to wonder if someone painted the URL for that ShouNazu image on a wall in Moscow, or something ◟(◔﹏◔)ノ

Incidentally, Google searching for that image's ID results in what appears to be a Stella Artois advert in Czech.

I am too tired today to really draw anything

also, drawing in Photoshop makes everything look ugly and I don't feel like scanning silly little sketches ◟(◔﹏◔)ノ

I still found nine minutes this morning to draw Ran, though.

A few days ago, I found a rather interesting progress submission on pixiv. The method used makes perfect sense, but I've never seen it before, and I hadn't thought of it--despite being too impatient to go through the rigmarole that most people do when drawing in Photoshop.

So I bookmarked the image and made a note to try it sometime.

Unfortunately, I find that I am too impatient even to finish pictures like this, despite its being much faster than most other ways. As in the pixiv submission, I started by blocking out the pose, anatomy, and clothing:

Normally, this, with maybe a little bit of refinement, would serve as my lineart, simply because I wouldn't bother to go over it (it takes too long). As such, it felt very strange to paint over the sketch, hiding completely in most places:

However, I soon found that this allowed for rather pleasing freedom in correcting mistakes. That said, I didn't take as much advantage of this freedom as I could have.

If I were to follow Shigatake's method more exactly, I would have spent much more time polishing it, but that's not the way I work, especially when it's this hot outside. I should have taken another snapshot somewhere in the middle, but oh well.

If anyone's wondering who she is, she's viva!!'s OC, Roku. The shikigami of a shikigami's shikigami.
